Anyone in what I like to, not so lovingly, refer to as a battleground season?  A season where it seems like the enemy is doing everything he possibly can to try to derail you?  Well hey ... you're in good company!

Remember Joseph, the man who was betrayed and sold into slavery by his own brothers after they had a plot to kill him?  In Genesis 50:20 he says, "What you meant to harm me the Lord will use for good, for the saving of many lives."

Are you finding yourself in the middle of a battlefield?  Remember: God is FAITHFUL and you are already VICTORIOUS in Him!  What the enemy meant to harm you, the Lord will use for good ... for the saving of many lives!

TIMING by Kristen Wallace

(My daughter wrote this ... I saw it on social media ... Had to share it.  So good!)

Anyone else out there guilty of being a tiny bit of a control freak? If we're being vulnerable for a minute, then I have both of my hands raised. If you have your hand raised too, do you ever find yourself struggling to trust God because His plans for you aren't lining up with your timeline? It reminds me of the story of Sarah and Abraham. God told Abraham and Sarah they would have a child, but when God's timing didn't match Sarah's, she chose to take back control (I feel ya girl). She let Abraham have her handmaid so that Abraham would have a child. She tried to "help God" fulfill His promise to her instead of trusting Him and His timing. It may be difficult at times, but I encourage you to trust God even when it doesn't match your plans or your timeline. If God made a promise to you or put a desire in your heart, trust in Him and know that He will fulfill every single one in the perfect time and season.

This morning I was waiting for the microwave to reheat my coffee … for a total of 25 seconds … and found myself annoyed at the wait.  Seriously?!  Less than half a minute, and I was impatient.  We live in such an instant society that any waiting seems extremely difficult to do.  We have become conditioned to having what we want at a moment’s notice.  But sometimes life doesn’t co-operate and we don’t instantly get what we want.

So, what do you do when “instant” doesn’t happen and waiting is required of you?  Choose to trust in God and put your hope in His word.

“I wait for the Lord, I expectantly wait, and in His word do I hope.”

“Be still in the presence of the Lord, and wait patiently for Him to act.”
Psalm 37:7

“And let us not lose heart and grow weary and faint in acting nobly and doing right, for in due time and at the appointed season we shall reap, if we do not loosen and relax our courage and faint.”
Galatians 6:9

With God there is no such thing as too late. His timing is perfect … even if you have to wait on Him!
